In this lesson, my remote Drawing class of NYC public high school students made drawings to music. I played a variety of songs and instructed students to make marks inspired by what they were hearing. This simple project allowed them to familiarize themselves with several drawing tools (markers, pencils, pastels, etc.), and to learn about the emotional implications of different marks.
